ASK YOURSELF……….
If there are ways to help your child do better in school
would you do it?
If you could raise your child’s test scores, give them
better social skills, help them graduate and continue
their education would you try?
If there was a program that made students less likely to
repeat a grade, be suspended or expelled would you want
to know about it?
If I told you that I knew of a way to make a dramatic
and significant difference in your child’s education
would you ask me how?
THE ANSWER TO ALL THE QUESTIONS ABOVE IS PARENT
INVOLVEMENT.
A 30 YEAR STUDY SHOWS ALL OF THE STATEMENTS ABOVE ARE
TRUE OF STUDENTS WHOSE PARENTS TAKE AN ACTIVE ROLE IN
THEIR EDUCATION.
Which brings us to our warm and encouraging words for
the 2009-2010 school year…

WELCOME TO THE PARENTS !!
The St. Vincent De Paul Parent-Teacher Unit (PTU) is a
very active group in the school. We sponsor many
activities for the students. Examples of some of the
activities are bowling parties, dances, bake sales,
pixie shop, and haunted hallway, and receptions for
penance, confirmation and the first day of school, just
to name a few.
The PTU
Board could not be so successful without the help of
volunteers like you. Getting involved in the school
activities that we have here is a great way to meet new
parents, meet the friends of your child and to show your
child that you care about the their every day lives at
St. Vincent De Paul.
If you
are interested in volunteering, the PTU will send out
flyers for many of our activities throughout the year
asking for volunteers. Also you can call any one of the
board members at any time to ask about volunteering
(names and phone numbers are listed below).
Thank
you for choosing St. Vincent De Paul for your child and
we hope to see you at our many events this school year. |
