St. Vincent de Paul School admits students
of any race, color, sex, and creed, national
or ethnic origin. All students are
encouraged to participate in the Catholic
educational experience and to be nurtured to
reach their potential. If we accept a
child with disabilities, reasonable
accommodations will be made for that student
at St. Vincent de Paul School.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
-
Birth and baptismal certificates,
immunization records, custody papers
(where applicable) and a registration
fee must be presented at registration.
-
Kindergartners must be 5 and first
graders must be 6 by September 30th, and
must undergo the Early Prevention of
School Failure screening at a date to be
assigned at Registration.
-
Registration is taken in the spring and
is based on the aforementioned
requirements. Registration does not
automatically mean acceptance.
-
Previous discipline problems that have
not been resolved shall be a determinant
for re-admittance to school.
-
Eighth grade students are generally not
admitted without good reason. The
principal may meet with the family to
determine eligibility and
appropriateness of admission.
-
In cases of
divorce and/or custody situations,
appropriate court documents are to be on
file in the school office.
(Please refer to page 6 of the handbook
for more specific information)
-
All students registered in the school
are required to attend Mass or other
religious services held for St. Vincent
de Paul students, as well as participate
in the daily Religion classes and/or
sacramental preparations.
-
Students
Admitted From Other Schools
-
Registration is not complete
until we have seen and reviewed
the records from the other
school.
-
All new students are placed on
probation for one year, covering
both academics and behavior.
-
Students who have been withdrawn from
St. Vincent de Paul School may not be
re-admitted except in cases of moving
out of the city or state and then
returning to the area
If there are more applicants than openings,
preference will be given to those with
brothers/sisters in the school, those who
have a longer history in the parish and
those who meet all the basic requirements.
Admission is granted on a yearly basis. The
school reserves the right to terminate the
contract. Admission to St. Vincent de Paul
School and continued enrollment therein, is
contingent upon adherence to policies
contained in this handbook. If parents
choose to disregard policies/procedures
stated in the Parent-Student Handbook, they
will be asked to withdraw their children
from St. Vincent de Paul School and find an
environment that more closely reflects their
philosophy.

There is a $40.00 registration fee for each
child. This fee covers religion texts,
workbooks, textbooks, paper supplies, and
classroom supplies. Registration fees
are non-refundable. When registering
for the next school year, the registration
fee for the first or only child must be paid
with the family registration by March 1st.
Registration fees for the other children in
the family must be paid by June 1st. If all
Registration fees are not paid by that date,
Report Cards will be withheld. In addition,
parents run the risk of being placed on a
waiting list for the next school year.
All prior year's tuition and fees
must be resolved before entering school in
August or graduating in June. All tuition
and fees must be kept current for report
cards to be received and transcripts to be
issued.
