BAPTISM
Before starting his public ministry, Jesus submitted himself to the baptism given by John the Baptist.  The waters did not purify him; he cleansed the waters.  . . .  Jesus did not need to be baptized because he was totally faithful to the will of his Father and free from sin.  Here at St. Vincent de Paul, Baptisms are held on Sundays at 1 PM. Attendance at a Pre-Baptism Class is mandatory!

RECONCILIATION
The Sacrament of Penance is God's gift to us so that any sin committed after Baptism can be forgiven.  In confession we have the opportunity to repent and recover the grace of friendship with God. Confessions are every Saturday, 3:30-4:30 PM or by appt.

HOLY MATRIMONY
The marriage covenant refers to the relationship between the husband and wife, a permanent union of persons capable of knowing and loving each other and God. It also requires a 6-month preparation period by Diocesan policy. Please call one of the parish priests prior to setting a date.

FUNERALS
Arrangements are to be made at the Parish Office before publication of the death notice. Christians celebrate the funeral rites to offer worship, praise, and thanksgiving to God for the gift of a life which has now been returned to God, the author of life and the hope of the just.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
RCIA is the process by which adults are brought into the Catholic Faith through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. RCIA meets weekly from September through April. More information can be obtained by calling the Parish Office.
