The Holy Name Society is a
spiritual organization for Catholic men
founded to teach, spread and defend the
Faith of Christ.
The purpose of the Holy Name
Society is to give honor to the Most Sacred
Name of Jesus and to assist members to grow
in holiness and achieve their personal
salvation.
MEMBERSHIP: The
Holy Name Society membership is open to all
Catholic males over the age of eighteen.
To join, come to any meeting. Dues are
$5.00 per year and are payable by collection
envelope each February.
MEETINGS:
Monday after the second Sunday of the month
at 7:00 pm in the Lighthouse (house next to
the old convent, enter from rear). Meetings
consist of prayer and society business
followed by a sumptuous meal and a friendly
card game.
FUNCTIONS:
-
We sponsor various fund
raising events to finance our other
projects.

Easter egg hunt on Holy
Saturday for the benefit of
parishioner's children.
-
Special projects such as the
new Nativity display and the new garage
doors.
-
We pay for professional
landscaping and snow removal.
-
Members perform maintenance
projects such as cleaning the ceiling
fans and replacing
the Altar spotlights.
-
Members serve as ushers at
weekend Masses.
-
We attend the wakes of
deceased members, offering a recitation of
the Rosary for their souls.

Deceased members are also
remembered at our annual Memorial Mass at
which time
religious items are donated in their memory.

We sponsor the project of of
other parish groups, such as the Eagle
Scouts, which have resulted in the refurbishment of the
Sacred Heart Shrine, a new picnic table, and
new siding on the garage.

We also pay for needed
supplies for the church and school such as
the support post pads for the gym and scaffolding to reach
the church ceiling.

Members also enjoy our annual
steak roast and Christmas parties.
